Fine Art & Photography Competition

Fair Rules and Guidelines
Fair Week: July 26 - August 1, 2026

Age Groups:

  • Wee Artists Gallery: Under 5 (display only)
  • Youth: Ages 5 - 8
  • Youth: Ages 9 - 12
  • Youth: Ages 13 - 17
  • Adult: Ages 18+

Entry Fees:

  • $5 per piece or $25 for 5 or more entries (per person)
  • Enter as many categories as you’d like
  • Each family member must register separately
  • Up to 3 entries per category per person
  • Each artist receives a free one-day fair pass!

Presentation Guidelines:

  • Paintings must be framed with a sturdy hanger or on stretched canvas
  • Wet paint not allowed
  • Watercolor, ink, and pencil drawings must be under glass with hanger
  • Paintings on wood, tile, slate, or metal do not need frames but must have a sturdy hanger
  • No paint-by-number artwork permitted
  • No nude artwork
  • Artist’s name must be on each piece

Additional Rules:

  • Online registration form must be completed by all artists, regardless of payment method
  • Entries must be delivered Saturday, July 25 between 10PM - 3PM
  • Artwork must be picked up Saturday, August 1 between 10AM - 3PM
  • Union County Fair and Marysville Art League are not responsible for lost,
  • broken, or stolen exhibits
