Kim Heminger - President & Instructor

President, Let's Paint Instructor, Pottery Instructor, Birthday Parties & Misc. Class Instructor:
I have always loved art or anything creative from as far back as I can remember. I loved to draw and paint as a child. Through the years, I would try about any crafty project that struck my interest to feed my creative appetite. I’m always hungry to learn a little bit of everything, I will try my hand at it at least once. I don’t really specialize in one area or medium. I dabble in them all. I love working with wood, sewing, painting, flowers, cake decorating and taking something old and turning it into something useful.
I have never had enough time to do the things I love. But now that my children are raised and I’m retired, I’m excited to get back in touch with my own creative passion. I’m excited about the Marysville Art League and I look forward to sharing my passion with others.
I’m a mother three wonderful children, Nikki, Dustin & Derek, who all have wonderful significant others. I have also been blessed with six awesome grandbabies, JT, Brody ,Laney, Liam, Noah and Avie all of whom I adore. I’m a lifelong resident of Union County and want to support this community by having a creative, positive influence on those we serve at the art league.
KIm also serves on several other boards and committees in Union County.
The Conventions and Visitors Bureau from 2015 to Present. 2017 - 2018 VP & Currently President.
The Union County Chamber of Commerce Board - 2019 Board Member CVB Representative
United Way YEAR (Youth Enrichment Arts & Recreation) Committee Member & Born Learning Trail Committee

Bobbi Dailey - Vice President & Instructor

Vice President, website support, membership chair, birthday parties, & instructor
I have always been a creative person. There was never a lack of arts & crafts in my home while I was growing up. My affiliation with the art league allows me to share my love of everything crafty!
I run the Itty Bitty Artists program and teach card making, scrapbooking and paper crafting, wreath making, adult and kids beginners sewing, as well as any other random crafty projects that my cross my radar.
I am originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada but have called Marysville my home now since 2001. My husband Tommy and I have two amazing children, Grant and Averi (who are always attending classes at the art league) and 4 crazy dogs!
I have some of my crafty items for sale in Gallery 264 ARTisan Shop. It is another great way to support the restoration fund.
I hope to see many of you in the classes and workshops that I'm offering and if there's a workshop that you'd like me to offer, just shoot me an email!

Anne Barr - Treasurer & Instructor
Though I like to paint and do some pottery, I’m always up for trying new crafty things. I am one of the "All 'Bout Stenciling" instructors. I have a grown daughter and a full of energy 6 year old granddaughter. I’m pretty much a lifelong resident of Marysville except for 8 years that I lived in Texas. I am involved in the local Elks Lodge that supports a ton of charitable organizations including Veteran’s and Cerebal Palsy.

Jaime Geyer - Board Member & Instructor
My family and I moved to Marysville in 2004 to be close to my husband, Allen's family farm. We currently operate a grain farm in addition to our jobs. We have two boys - Jarod a senior at BGSU and Travis a senior at MHS. I enjoy quilting, painting, sewing, crafting, knitting and the list goes on. I have plenty of UFOs (unfinished objects). I started taking paint classes at MAL and that is how I got started with this wonderful organization. Currently, I am serving as the Administrative Assistant at MAL. I compile the MAL's quarterly newsletter and any other promotional items that need designed. In addition to MAL, I am one of the Co-advisors of the Hoof and Hide 4-H Club. I am also employed with Forum Manufacturing - Architectural Millwork, as a Project Administrator.

I’ve explored many fiber techniques including spinning, weaving, stitchery, and papermaking. My appreciation for nature, however, has drawn me to basketry. My baskets preserve much of nature’s plant life. Vines, flax, beads, wire, porcupine quills, pine needles, broom sedge, willow, honeysuckle, and bark are some of the materials I have used in my baskets. Each fiber suggests a form and challenges me to blend basketry and other fiber techniques into a functional and fanciful basket.
I have recently found I have a love for quilting. It is another way of expressing myself through fiber.
I'm a member of the Ohio Craftsman Association, The Union County Historical Society, I'm a Master Gardener and active any many other community groups.
I host a Focus on Fiber Open Studio on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Everyone 18+ is welcome to attend.

Deana Pfarr-Taylor - Board Member

I am a life-long resident of Marysville, and have always loved art. My Mom gets some of the credit because she put me in the highchair with with paper & crayons whenever I was a fussy child. My school teachers, from elementary through high school, were always encouraging. After earning my K-12 Art Education degree from West Liberty State College in West Virginia, I studied art history and ceramics with the University of Georgia in Cortona, Italy and received my master's degree from Wright State University.
I taught art at Marysville Middle School for 27 years. I am now retired, and I volunteer at numerous locations; including Central Ohio Youth Center, Marysville Christian Academy, Trinity Lutheran Church, The Union County Humane Society (where I am a board member), the local Alzheimer's Association as well serve on the board at The Marysville Art League. I am a 4-H advisor and serve as co-vice president for the Union County Retired Teachers Association.
I am married to Nevin Taylor, who is a Marysville city councilman. We have 3 grandsons and 4 cats.
My favorite art techniques are drawing, calligraphy, pottery and stained glass. I love to sew and am serious wanna-be quilter. I love antiques and going to auctions.

I have a wonderful husband, Anthony and a beautiful son, Asher. We love to play soccer, listen to music and the great outdoors. I try to keep myself going by completing things on my “bucket list”. In doing this, I have travelled all over the world, completed multiple triathlons and races, skydiving, bungee jumping, glass blowing, backpacking Australia, surfing and so much more.
I obtained my double bachelors of arts in visual communications and bachelor of fine arts from Ohio Dominican University. I obtained my K-12 Visual Arts teaching license from Ashland University. I am currently teaching Fine Arts for the Southwestern City School District and absolutely love it! Inspiring our youth to be creative, think outside the box and to look at the world with a different eye.
I hope to instill some excitement of art and all of the wonderful possibilities it holds.

June Saindon - Instructor
My name is June Saindon and I am a lifelong resident of Marysville. Being a wife, mom, grandma, member of my church Praise Band, and founder of the Team Just Sharing Oils group keeps me very busy. In 2012, I was introduced to essential oils by a friend, and have been amazed at their potential for solutions for so many of our health issues. I am passionate about empowering my friends and family with the information they need to make natural choices for their health, using essential oils. Oils of the Bible, Natural Cleaners using Essential Oils, Essential Emotions, Sleep with Intention are just a few of the classes I teach and I am always looking for new ways to share my love of the essential oils with others.
