This intro to sewing class is suitable for beginners. The recommended age is 2nd grade up. An adult helper is needed for the children. If there are siblings, one grown up is fine.
Participants will learn the parts of the sewing machine, learn about choosing fabric, learn how to properly cut fabric, sew on a machine and will have several completed projects by the end of the week.
Participants will be responsible for bringing their own sewing machine. **Machine must be in good working order** Please send the manual if you have it. Please refer to the supplies list below for other items that participants are responsible for bringing.

For Bandana Pillow
- 2 matching bandanas
- thread to coordinate
- bag of Poly Fil
For Pillowcase
- 1 yard of cotton fabric (for pillow case)
- thread to coordinate
For Cross Body Bag
- 3 coordinating fat quarters
- thread to coordinate
For Apron
- men's button down shirt **THIS WILL BE CUT UP** I recommend one that will go down to your child's knees
- Double fold bias fold tape (color to coordinate with apron)
- thread to coordinate
- extra needles for machine
- sewing machine (make sure an extra bobbin is included)
- seam ripper
- pin cushion (optional) **Magnetic ones are GREAT for the kids!
- spool of white thread
- Sewing needles (for hand sewing)
- sharp scissors
- sewing measuring tape
- pinking shears (not required but highly recommended)
- fabric pencil
The class size will be limited to 8 participants to allow ample one on one time.
